On this page it is hoped to house the full and complete works on film of "The Master" - Vladek Sheybal - from the start of his career in Poland in 1956 in his first film: Andrzej Wajda's Kanal to his final film: Double X: The Name of the Game in 1992.  In his truly exceptional international career, Vladek Sheybal played a variety of characters and not always in the villanous role.  Many of his characters were villains of course, but who can forget Mr Boogalow [left] from The Apple (1980), and [below] as Michal the Composer from Kanal (1956) - main picture used with kind permission of Lesley Richardson.

                                        Vignettes [Film]

Vladek is often credited with appearing in the films 'Funny Money' (1982) and
The Music Lovers' (1971) but he did not appear in either film.

Vladek was offered a role in the 1985 Polish movie 'Zygfryd' but did not
participate.*

In 1977, Vladek worked on the as yet unreleased Ken Russell Film 'Moll Flanders.'

In 1966 and 1972 respectively, Vladek played opposite real life actor brothers
Steve Forrest and Dana Andrews.  In 'The Baron' (TV Series) Vladek played the character of Reiner in the episode 'And Suddenly You're Dead,' opposite Forrest's John Mannering.  In 'Innocent Bystanders' Vladek played the character of Aaron Kaplan to Andrews' Blake.

As is notated elsewhere on this site, Vladek appeared in The Debussy Film, (a Monitor production for the BBC).  There is an air date for the Midlands TV area only on 18/05/1965 - BBC1.[◙]

                                                    Dubbing [Film]

Vladek's voice is dubbed in the following films:

Feuer und Schwert (Die Legende von Tristan und Isolde).
English title is Fire and Sword.
This film looks to be set in Medieval England, and everyone has an
      English
 accent.
Return from The Ashes
      Dubbed for unknown reasons.
Bordella
This film has been shot on location in New York and apart from a shot
towards the end of the film where a scene is played out in Rome, the
actors are speaking English words as for the most part the cast are
English speaking actors.  The film has then been dubbed into Italian.
Pilatus und Andere
      Dubbed for unknown reasons.
